The remaining balance for all age groups must be covered by personal resources or other agencies such as Seattle Milk Fund or the Department of Social & Health Services. This funding does not pay for any kindergarten costs, tuition, registration costs, field trips, diaper service, meals, fines or any other cost that goes beyond the basic fee.

Scholastic Requirements
To be eligible for funding you must be enrolled at the Seattle UW campus and pay the Services and Activities Fee. If you do not register for classes you are not eligible for any assistance.

Award Periods
Three standard calendar months are used to equate the award period and do not correspond exactly with the academic quarters. Each month is calculated from the first to the last day of the month. The award applies to the full three-month period regardless of the last day of the academic quarter.

Distribution of Checks
Childcare assistance checks, distributed two weeks after the 10th day of classes, are made payable to the provider and not to the student, and are for the entire three-month period.

At the end of every quarter, students are required to submit verification forms and documentation of childcare costs before any additional checks are distributed.
