Internet Explorer 6 versus Internet Explorer 7

 

If you are one of the many users who installed Internet Explorer 7 and now have found out that most of the browser applications we use here at UWMC no longer work - we have a solution.

 

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
2. Select Internet Explorer 7 and remove.
3. Go to the following link: 
   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1e1550cb-5e5d-48f5-b02b-20b602228de6&DisplayLang=en
4. Download ie6setup.exe and re-install Internet Explorer 6
5. Go to the following link and install the patch which stops the automatic delivery of Internet Explorer 7.
