{"id":5095,"date":"2018-11-01T18:10:04","date_gmt":"2018-11-02T02:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/pactrans\/?p=5095"},"modified":"2018-11-01T18:10:04","modified_gmt":"2018-11-02T02:10:04","slug":"university-of-washington-hyperloop-team-earns-1-in-the-u-s-in-spacex-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/pactrans\/university-of-washington-hyperloop-team-earns-1-in-the-u-s-in-spacex-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Washington Hyperloop team earns #1 in the U.S. in SpaceX competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5096 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/pactrans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/UW-Hyperloop-1-e1541124463674.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"505\" height=\"390\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, <a href=\"http:\/\/hyperloop.io\/\">UW\u2019s Hyperloop team<\/a>, sponsored by PacTrans, journeyed to Hawthorne, California and placed fourth and #1 in the U.S. in the most recent running of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spacex.com\/hyperloop\">Elon Musk\u2019s Hyperloop Pod Competition<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>UW\u2019s Hyperloop team saw its beginnings three years ago with a handful of hopeful students who dreamed of improving transportation.
