Students will get the opportunity to work in Olympia under the Headquarter Maintenance Operations Office.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These internships are paid and selected candidates will get the opportunity to work with WSDOT managers statewide through small scale, short term projects that involve collecting and analyzing data, conducting field surveys, and assessing data to determine outcomes or results. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interns will also be expected to report findings in writing or make presentations to interested audiences. This is a great opportunity to gain real world, professional experience, as well as practice basic work skills. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WSDOT is currently offering nine positions in the following areas: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hazardous Materials Program<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stormwater Program (two positions)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) Program<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintenance Technology <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Highway Lighting (three positions) <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Snow &amp; Ice\/Highway Safety Features<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WSDOT anticipates having even more internship opportunities to offer in the near future.
