much attention currently focused on improving mobility, accessibility, and livability in Washington State, transportation agencies, professionals, and policy-makers may find it difficult to meet sustainability goals. <\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sustainable Transportation: A Conversation with Regional Leaders, an event hosted by the <a href=\"http:\/\/washington.apwa.net\/\">American Public Works Association (APWA)<\/a> UW Chapter, the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.washington.edu\/ite\/membership.html\">Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE)<\/a> UW Chapter, and <a href=\"http:\/\/urbdp.be.washington.edu\/programs\/mup-graduate-degree\/planning-student-association-2\/\">UW Planning Student Association<\/a>, will be held later this month on Wednesday, May 22. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.soundtransit.org\/\">Sound Transit<\/a> CEO Peter Rogoff, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingcounty.gov\/\">King County<\/a> Executive and <a href=\"http:\/\/urbdp.be.washington.edu\/admissions\/mup\/\">UW MUP<\/a> Alum Dow Constantine, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsdot.wa.gov\/\">WSDOT<\/a> Deputy Director for Regional Transit Coordination and <a href=\"http:\/\/cep.be.washington.edu\/\">UW CEP<\/a> Alum Celeste Gilman, <a href=\"https:\/\/evans.uw.edu\/\">UW Evans School<\/a> Alum Senator Steve Hobbs, and King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci will be in attendance as the speakers of the panel for the night. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professionals, faculty members, and students interested and invested in all things transportation are invited to attend the event, participate in the discussion, and network with others. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This event is sponsored by UW PSA, ITE WA, APWA WA State, APA Puget Sound Section, UW CBE Professionals Council, UW GPSS, and Parametrix.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registration is $25 for professionals, $20 for faculty, and $5 for students, which includes the cost of dinner.
