O\u2019Bryant Policy and Finance Fellowship. This opportunity will allow Idziorek the chance to immerse herself in transportation policy making, be involved in the development of Eno research, and participate in Eno\u2019s Future Leaders Development Conference next year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Idziorek is a student in the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Urban Design and Planning. Her research interests include social infrastructure, and is currently focused on using that, along with social networks, to aid in the formation of resilient communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne aspect of that is understanding what disaster preparedness means for acute disasters, like the pandemic we are currently experiencing, but also chronic disasters, like systemic inequities and poverty,\u201d Idziorek said in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enotrans.org\/article\/eno-welcomes-university-of-washington-ph-d-candidate-as-the-2020-thomas-j-obryant-fellow\/\">an article on Eno\u2019s website<\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was announced earlier this summer that UW Ph.D. candidate, Katherine Idziorek, is this year\u2019s recipient of the Thomas J.
