Climate Change Adaptation for Vegetation Management in the North Cascadia Ecosystem

November 7 - 8, 2011   |   Talaris Conference Center, Seattle, WA
[Download agenda as PDF]

Objectives:

  1. Identify key sensitivities of vegetation to changes in climate in the North Cascadia
    ecosystem.
  2. Review current vegetation management priorities and share management approaches
that have already considered climate change.
  3. Use the latest scientific information on climate change and effects on vegetation and
ecological disturbances to identify adaptation strategies and tactics that can be
implemented by the Forests and Parks.
  4. Identify opportunities to work with other stakeholders to develop adaptation strategies
and tactics that cross jurisdictional boundaries in the North Cascadia ecosystem.
