  Public Behavioral Health and Justice Policy is a division of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington.

  “The Washington Institute” is part of the division of Public Behavioral Health and Justice Policy and is housed at Western State Hospital in Lakewood, Washington (the public mental health facility serving Western Washington).
• Evidence Based Practice Institute (EBPI)
  The “EBP Institute” is part of the division of Public Behavioral Health and Justice Policy and was created in accordance with House Bill 1088 to oversee and report on the implementation of evidence based practices in order to improve access and quality of mental health treatment for children in Washington State.

  PBHJP has collaborated with Children’s on a number of programs and projects, most recently Primary Care, mandated by House Bill 1088.
• Washington State’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS)
  PBHJP has collaborated with DSHS on a number of programs and projects, most recent being Primary Care, mandated by House Bill 1088 and Workforce Development. In addition, DSHS contracts for clinical care through Detention, Echo Glen, and Prime Time/FIT Program with JRA, a division of DSHS.
