Beth Buffalo receives 2018 McKnight Memory and Cognitive Disorders Award
has been selected as one of 4 scientists to win the 2018 Memory and Cognitive Disorders Award by the McKnight Foundation
. The funds from this award will be used to study “Neural Dynamics of Memory and Cognition in the Primate Hippocampal Formation.” The hippocampus is a small area of the brain associated with storing memories and with navigating, such as finding your way home. It is part of the limbic system, which plays a role in emotional responses as well.
