This project seeks to understand how self and community race\/ethnicity influence face processing in children with ASD.<span class=\"style_1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\"><strong><span class=\"style_2\">Who Can Participate?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">10-17-year-old children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Children must be of 100% Caucasian or 100% Korean race\/ethnic background.<span class=\"style_1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_4\"><strong>What will the study involve?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">For children, this will include measuring brain activity during face and emotion processing (EEG), two computer tasks, and completing a questionnaire. For parents, this will include questionnaire packets and phone calls.<span class=\"style_1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_4\"><strong>How long will it take?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">This study will include one 2-hour lab visit, plus questionnaires and phone calls.<span class=\"style_1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_4\"><strong>What is the compensation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">Your child will receive $20 per visit and you will receive reimbursement for parking and a $5 gift certificate for completing questionnaires and a phone calls.<span class=\"style_1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_5\"><strong>Who should I contact?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_3\">This study is conducted by Dr. Sara Webb PhD at Seattle Children\u2019s Research Institute in Seattle WA and Dr. Kyong Chung at Yonsei University in South Korea.
