To apply for a minor, you must have completed at least 90 college credits. You may declare a minor through your departmental advisor, by meeting with a History or Political Science Undergraduate Advisor, or at the time that you file a graduation application.
To complete a Minor in Labor Studies, students must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
- HIST 249/POL S 249/SOC 266: Introduction to Labor Studies (5 credits).
- 25 credits selected from the following, with no more than 10 credits from any one department.

- ECON 409: Research Seminar in Political Economy: Labor (Undergraduate Seminar) (5)
- ECON 443: Labor Market Analysis (5)
- ECON 444: Topics in Labor Market Analysis (5)
- HRMOB 420: Collective Bargaining and Arbitration (4)
Other courses with subject matter centering on labor and working-class issues, including all internship and independent study courses arranged through the Center for Labor Studies, may also be counted towards the Labor Studies Minor requirements.
