MEDIATION AND CONSULTATION
The following are UW resources to provide education and/or assistance in resolving
disputes.
"Our mission is
to provide the highest quality, client-focused services for preventing,
managing and resolving conflict among students, staff, and faculty of this
University. Through active participation in the mediation process, clients
develop competencies for preventing, managing, and resolving future
conflict."
"A UCIRO
(University Complaint Investigation and Resolution Office) internal
investigation may be requested either by an individual with a complaint
about a University employee or by the administrative head of a University
organization. In addition, the University may initiate a UCIRO internal
investigation in order to uphold University policies. These investigations
are conducted by investigators in the University Complaint Investigation and
Resolution Office. Generally, UCIRO internal investigations are concluded
within 60 days."
