Welcome to the Newmediapedia
Welcome to the Seattle Newmediapedia, a collection of entries about everything new media + Seattle. If it is new media buzz generated in the Seattle area it is being catalogued here: inventions, personalities, companies, ideas, cultural organizations and more.
These entries are authored by undergraduate students in the Communication Department at the University of Washington-Seattle, as part of their coursework for Basic Concepts in New Media. Student authorship is preserved in all entries.
We hope that you will contribute to the project by suggesting new entries for us to research, or by submitting comments in particular entries. Students have done the hard work of archival and interview research for each entry, and if you have insights or comments please teach us what you know!
A Note on Topics
The current topics and categories are the result of the first run of this project. We are in the process of refining the categories and re-organizing the topic entries. If you don't see a topic listed after browsing the Newmediapedia, please let us know!!!

From the Production Team...
The Newmediapedia site currently contains the work done by Dr. Howard's Spring 2004 COM300 students. While it is up-to-date and fully functional, we hope to develop and streamline both its design and database interface over the summer. Please feel free to contact us with suggestions.
