Visiting Student Rotation Information

• Where we are
  • Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center is located at Sand Point Way and 50th in Seattle about 2 miles north of the UW Medical Center.
  • Most PEDS rotations are done at CHRMC.
    • PEDS 669 & 679 are held at the UW Medical Center
    • PEDS 611 is held at the Country Doctor Free Teen Clinic
• Getting here
  • Metro King County bus systems #'s 25 and 75 stop at CHRMC. Check out the metro transit website at:
    • http://transit.metrokc.gov/
  • A free shuttle runs between the UW Medical Center and CHRMC.
  • All medical students park at the Magnuson parking lot, located 1.5 miles NE of CHRMC. A free shuttle runs every seven minutes, M-F, 5:45A-8:30P. Students can park at CHRMC after 2:30P and anytime on holidays and weekends.
• Pager
  • You will need a pager.  The PEDS department has a limited number to lend out, but you are not guaranteed to get one.
• Eating at the Hospital
  • The cafeteria serves vegetarian items and a few vegan items.
  • Tully's has gourmet coffee, pastries and lunch items.
  • Sandwiches or pizza are provided at Noon Conference four days a week. Students who attend the conference are welcome to partake in the food.
