Jennifer Ruddy, MD received her medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health, Columbus, Ohio. She also completed her bachelor of science degree at Ohio State University. Her pediatric internship and residency were completed at Akron Children's Hospital, Akron, OH. She completed a pediatric pulmonary fellowship at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington and an attending physician at Seattle Children's Hospital.
Dr. Ruddy is primarily involved in clinical medicine and is dedicated to providing excellent patient care. She cares for patients with many respiratory disorders including asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease of prematurity, and chronic respiratory failure. She has particular interest in cystic fibrosis including care of the adolescent CF patient and newborn screening, and she is also interested in aerodigestive respiratory diseases.
Her research intestests have focused on cystic fibrosis. She is also interested in working toward quality improvement in transition of care for pediatric pulmonary patients with chronic lung disease. She is passionate about teaching and advocates for a team approach to patient care.
