In the face of this, it is startling to recognize that the real computing and communications revolution still lies ahead - "you ain't seen nothing yet." This talk will describe recent progress and future opportunities in the field. It will also spend a bit of time on the special role of research universities in a field where there is so much money to be made. Computer science continues to be a field full of intellectual action, a field with unmatched roles, responsibilities, and opportunities. |
