The Program for Educational Transformation through Technology (PETTT) is a University Initiative Fund program of the University of Washington. PETTT has been working with the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine's re-design and development of the Arthritis Source, their web-based information resource.

The interaction between PETTT and the Source has pointed out the necessary dynamic relationships among content, content providers, content users, and tools for evaluation of effectiveness. This presentation highlights our approach to restructuring the Source to an open source content management platform that builds templates that are compatible with XML data schemes, so that the elements of the Source can be readily found, accessed, and tailored to the needs of individual learners.
