Real-time interpreter services for our non-English-speaking patients and families At UWMC, we know it is important to support every clinical conversation with our non-English-speaking patients and families with a qualified interpreter. Day or night, any UWMC staff member may call Pacific Interpreters for a phone interpreter. Language Cards Language cards provide graphics and phrases in non-English languages to assist in communication between patients, families, and their care providers. Outpatient and inpatient versions for each language cover a wide variety of situations and needs.
