Issues regarding funding of non-grant and contract related effort of grant-funded faculty will be managed at the department level with concurrence of the dean.

Department chairs are designated to carry out the reviews for faculty in their respective departments. Presently these chairs are Allan Rettie, Chair of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry; Danny Shen, Chair of the Department of Pharmacy; Ken Thummel, Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutics. These reviews will be carried out twice yearly in conjunction with the filing of FEC reports.

A minimum non-grant and contract effort of 5% will be required of all faculty. Funds from sources other than grants or contracts for non-grant and contract effort will be provided by the departments where faculty are appointed.
