The Plein Certificate in Geriatrics Program This program was created to help train a select group of pharmacy students and practicing pharmacists to become pharmacotherapy specialists in providing care to older patients. The Certificate Program is an 18-credit program that can be earned while in the PharmD program or as a practicing pharmacist.
The Pharmacy Management Program The Pharmacy Management Program is a 15 academic credits interdisciplinary program offered through the Schools of Business and Pharmacy. It is designed to help students prepare for owning or managing a pharmacy. Students will study a variety of different topics such as marketing, human resources, accounting and pharmacy management. Included in this program is a 10-week paid summer management internship.
Teaching Certificate in Pharmacy Education The Teaching Certificate in Pharmacy Education (TCPE) is a 16-credit program that prepares current and future pharmacy educators for academic teaching, and to help inspire others to consider academic careers.
Certificates Offered Through Extension CoursesCertificate Program in Biomedical Regulatory Affairs This nine-month program is designed for individuals seeking an introductory or expanded understanding of regulatory affairs for the drug and medical device industry, and for others seeking training for positions in the field. Program participants gain a comprehensive overview of the knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective regulatory affairs and compliance specialist. Such specialists oversee the design, development testing and production of drugs, biotechnology-derived therapeutics, or medical devices.
Certificate Program in Clinical Trials Please Note: This is not available for academic credit This program introduces participants to the fundamental scientific, ethical, practical, regulatory and economic concepts underlying clinical trials. While specifically designed for those entering the field of clinical trials, clinical research coordinators and clinical research associates also benefit from the program's comprehensive approach. The program may be helpful to individuals preparing for professional certification examinations.
