Activities

Dr. Hansten's books on drug interactions have sold over one million copies since 1971, and have been translated into several languages. He has lectured widely in North America, Europe, and Asia as well as Latin America and the Middle East. He was on the Advisory Board and a Contributing Editor to The Medical Letter for many years. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the School of Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco, and has received teaching awards from students at the University of Washington and Washington State University. Dr. Hansten is phasing out his studies of drug interactions, and is now devoting his efforts to philosophy, including the philosophy of science. His current writing projects include a book entitled "The Ignorance of Certainty."
