The Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund

The Elmer M. Plein Endowment Research Fund has been established to encourage, promote and support research and innovative practice in pharmacy. Areas to be supported include research projects related to: geriatric pharmacy, pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmaceutical outcomes, pharmacoeconomics and drug utilization; demonstration projects evaluating innovative practice models; publishable scholarly reviews, books or book chapters; travel and meeting-related expenses for presentation of research or results of demonstration projects.

Eligible proposers include University of Washington School of Pharmacy faculty, clinical and affiliate faculty, and current or former students of the University of Washington School of Pharmacy.

One to three awards per year are funded in the range of $500 to $5,000 each will be considered. It is anticipated that no single award will exceed $5,000. The award funding is from the Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund in Pharmacy.
