NIMH-P30 Funded Assistant Professor (Pharmacology and Psychiatry)

 

Molecular Basis of Emotional Learning

The University of Washington School of Medicine requests applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. We seek highly qualified individuals currently holding postdoctoral fellowship or non-tenure track faculty appointments that have strong research training and productivity using cutting-edge molecular techniques applied to animal models of developmental, epigenetic or synaptic mechanisms of emotional learning. The successful candidate will initially be supported by a program grant (P30) from the National Institute of Mental Health and a generous start-up package from the University. The research environment is dynamic and ranges from molecular pharmacology to animal models of psychiatric disorders. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service; the successful candidate can participate in graduate training in Pharmacology and in interdisciplinary programs in Neurobiology & Behavior, Molecular & Cellular Biology, and Molecular Medicine.
