The Public Health Genomics Society is an online community of graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, faculty, and professionals working to initiate collaborations across fields related to: public health, genomics, epidemiology, sociology, ethics, anthropology, history, law, health economics, public policy, medicine, environmental health and other disciplines. Our network is committed to conducting research with integrity and working together to improve public health. Our members represent a host of academic institutions and research centers across the United States, including: Case Western Reserve University, Johns Hopkins University, Miami Dade Community College, NHGRI/NIH, Northwestern University, Oregon Health and Science University, Portland State University, Sarah Lawrence College, Stanford University, The George Washington University, University of California at San Diego, University of California at San Francisco, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of North Florida, University of Southern California, and University of Washington. Our HistoryThe Public Health Genomics Society was founded in September 2006 by graduate students in the Institute of Public Health Genetics at the University of Washington through a grant from the Learning and Leadership Council of the Graduate and Professional Student Senate. |
