SUPS is a student-run organization with free membership; students of all majors and disciplines are welcome.
Our meetings are held several times each month. Most meetings involve round-table discussions of a philosophical paper or theme. We also occasionally have faculty or guest speakers join us to present a topic. All meetings involve food (usually pizza), drink, and lively conversation.
We usually have a professor or graduate student from the department of philosophy join us to moderate our discussions. Some past topics include: behaviorism; the evidential problem of evil; metaphysics; and the philosophy of science. We also occasionally sponsored workshops on how to prepare for graduate programs in philosophy.
