UW PKU Clinic Members Attend
Camp Sealth

In 2004, five members of the University of Washington PKU Clinic attended Camp Sealth. This was the sixth year and it was a terrific success! Camp Sealth is located on Vashon Island, Washington and is operated by Campfire Boys and Girls.

Take a look at the Final Report to see what fun last year's campers had! (Note: this is a PowerPoint presentation. If you do not have PowerPoint installed on your computer, download PowerPoint Viewer from Microsoft.)

You can also find more information at Camp Sealth's website:

This year we're excited about another camping opportunity for members of the University of Washington PKU Clinic. If you're interested in attending Camp Sealth, read on to find out more...then contact the UW PKU Clinic to reserve your spot! Because we take special care to continue the food and formula pattern of each camper, we must limit attendance to children who receive care from the UW Clinic...children in Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.

Registration
The PKU Clinic has been invited to attend Session 5: July 26-August 1, 2005. Campers should be entering grades 2-12 in the fall of 2005. When you register, make sure to check the "PKU" box on your registration form and send us the "I'm coming to camp" letter. You can register for any in camp program during Session 5. Spaces fill up quickly, so we recommend you register early.

Formula
You'll need to bring your own Phenyl-Free 2 powder.
There is time before each meal for you to get your formula from the refrigerator and drink it--or take it to the table.

Food
We are working with the kitchen staff to offer low-phe menus. All foods, including low protein products will be provided--another reason to let us know that you are coming...we need to order enough food.
