Exposure and Dosimetry Core

The Exposure and Dosimetry Core is spending much of its effort in the first year supporting the panel studies carried out by Project 2. This core is also responsible for the comparison of urinary biomarkers for combustion PM and personal exposure measurements. The analytic methods for measurement of the methoxylated phenols in urine have been developed. The Core is developing methods for measuring these same compounds on the PM2.5 filters being collected in Project 2. This core is also working on the comparison of continuous and batch sampling personal monitors for PM2.5 under controlled exposure conditions (known aerodynamic size distribution of particle mass).
