Maria is the PNASH Center's Research Coordinator based in our Yakima Valley field office. She provides direct support for multiple research and outreach activities, is experienced in recruitment and open interviews with farmworkers and leads most of the Center's activities in conducting farmworker interviews. Projects have included pediatric injuries, dermatitis poisoning, hearing conservation in agricultural industries, injury case studies, pesticide drift, farm-worker mental health and take home pesticide exposure. Her farm-working experience is an asset to our department in understanding and identifying injuries. Maria is bilingual/bicultural.
