Research Interests

Before joining PNASH, Pablo (previously Pablo Hernández Pérez) worked as Plant Health Officer in his native Mexico and Washington State. He also worked in Integrated Pest Management in Washington. At the USDA-Yakima Agricultural Research Service, he was involved in pest biological control and molecular biology research. The position at the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences represents a unique opportunity for Pablo to learn about a different area of research for which he hopes his education, professional experience, Spanish language, medical interpreting skills and knowledge of the Hispanic community will help to meet the goals of this Department.
