MLA/PNC BYLAWS COMMITTEE REPORT 10/05

The Chair of the Committee, Jan Schueller participated in discussions with the Board and members regarding the creation of an MLA/PNC Institutional Member category specifically for group purchase participants. This will require a Bylaws change.

The PNC Bylaws were last revised in 2003. MLA members voted to change their Bylaws in August 2004, effective January 2005. This results in revisions to the Model Bylaws for Chapters and Sections, particularly in terms of electronic voting. New Model Bylaws will be posted in October. The Committee will incorporate this and any other changes at the same time we make changes to accommodate the additional member category.
