Funding Opportunity: Call for WRC Research Grant Proposals for FY 2024
Attention Water Researchers!
There is a request for proposals for a seed grant program funded through the federal Water Resources Research Act Program and managed by the State of Washington Water Research Center.
Proposals on any water-related topic of relevance to Washington State and the region will be considered, but proposals addressing the following priorities will be given preference:
- Climate change effects on water supply, demand, and quality.
- Analysis of policy and law relating to water resource management.
- Fate and transport of nutrients and emerging contaminants in the environment.
- Remote sensing of hydrologic systems and/or water use.
- Equity and justice in water resource access and management.
- Surface-groundwater interactions and conjunctive use management.
They anticipate funding three proposals for up to $30,000 (minimum $10,000), for one year. This is a great opportunity for early-career faculty to build partnerships with senior faculty, initiate new multidisciplinary collaboration, and support thesis and dissertation research.
Proposal submission deadline is Friday, March 22, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. (PST).
The Request for Proposals, eligibility, and more information are also available on the WRC website at Call for WRC Research Seed Grant Proposals for FY 2024.
