Administrator - Program Operations
Program on the Environment (PoE), within the College of the Environment, has an outstanding opportunity for a part time (75% FTE) Administrator.
The Administrator serves as the administrative lead and support for Program on the Environment (PoE). PoE is an academic unit within the College of the Environment (CoEnv), offering a BA in Environmental Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management. The position reports directly to the faculty Director of PoE, and represents the unit in administrative meetings within the College of the Environment.
This position has several diverse components, including budget analysis and tracking, human resources support, and some communication and outreach. The administrator will work independently to fulfill assignments, which include projecting and balancing state and gift budgets related to academic programs, all aspects of human resources, and communication and coordination activities. The administrator will assist the PoE Director in compiling, analyzing, and reporting program data as necessary.
The position is critical for the functioning of PoE, as the unit has no full-time teaching or administrative staff. Without the position, no teaching positions can be appointed, staff and teachers are not paid, no purchases can be made, no budgets reconciled, staff are unsupervised; and ultimately students (150+ PoE majors) cannot progress in a timely manner towards completing their degrees or certificates.
