The Mission of the Program on the Environment is to deliver interdisciplinary, hands-on education at the human-environment nexus.

Goals

• Provide students with high-quality, relevant and rigorous environmental education.


• Create meaningful opportunities for students to learn from and contribute to the community.


• Connect faculty from across UW campuses to teach, learn, and interact.


• Teach problem-solving through community-based project learning.


• Humanize environmental issues. 


• Transform wide ranging disciplinary training/knowledge into interdisciplinary problem solving.
