Interdisciplinary and Policy Dimensions of the Earth SciencesInfo | Program | Application | Funding | Capstone/Seminar | Contact Application Procedures and DeadlinesIncoming Students New UW applicants interested in pursuing the “Policy Dimensions of the Earth Sciences” should indicate an interest in their Statement of Purpose included with the departmental admissions application, and notify the Graduate Program Coordinator (poe@u.washington.edu). Continuing UW Graduate Students Continuing students should speak with their thesis/dissertation adviser and contact the Graduate Program Coordinator (poe@u.washington.edu) for an advising appointment. All Students Students enrolled in or entering a degree program in one of the participating departments are eligible to apply. All applicants will also be considered for the Policy Dimensions of the Earth Sciences Fellowship, unless they specifically request not to be considered. Applications are accepted twice a year, with deadlines of October 15 and April 15. Applications should include:
Students are strongly encouraged to contact individual faculty whose research matches student interests. Your thesis/dissertation adviser and/or the Graduate Program Coordinator can help students identify faculty with specific interests in a wide range of participating academic programs, and help students design their study program and advisory committee.
