Overview

Program on the Environment offers Graduate Certificate programs in cooperation with the Graduate School.

A Graduate Certificate provides a credential to students who pursue scholarship in a field outside their home department.  The Graduate Certificate curricula extends graduate students' understanding of environmental issues beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. Working in diverse academic groups, students and faculty address environmental problems from an interdisciplinary perspective, including physical and life sciences, economics and policy.

Graduate Certificate programs are open only to students already enrolled in other graduate degree programs at the University of Washington. The Program on the Environment does not offer Graduate degree programs.
