Rules and Policy:
- Access is restricted to students and staff only
- Users must present a valid student ID to the front desk for access
- No food or drink allowed in the lab
- Academic work takes highest priority
- Licensed software may NOT be copied
- All legal restrictions about the use of university resources apply
- The Libraries Computer Use policies will be enforced
Computer Use:
- You are responsible for backing up your data before you leave - all local saved data will be erased upon logging off.
- Please ask the front desk for support!
Software:
- All computers labeled 'Cedar' have the following software:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Adobe Design Premium CS4 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver)
- All Computers labeled 'Madrona' have the following software:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Adobe Master Collection CS4 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, After Effects, Premiere, Soundbooth, OnLocation, Final Cut Pro, Encore)

- Five 15" Aluminum MacBookPro Laptops are available for PoE Students
- Laptop Policy
- Laptops are intended for use on school projects only.
- Laptops may be checked out for daily use (equipment must be returned to Wallace Hall by 5:00PM).
- Laptops are not available for check out during finals week or during school breaks to allow time for routine reimaging and updates to be installed.
- If the laptop is not returned on time once, the student may not borrow a laptop for the rest of the quarter that it was borrowed in. If the laptop is late twice, the student may not borrow laptops from PoE again.
- If the laptop is late more than seven (7) calendar days from the due date, the student's registration can be put on hold.
- Students are responsible for up to the full cost of the laptop if lost, damaged, or stole.
- If the laptop is lost, stolen, or damaged, the student may not borrow laptops from PoE again.
- Laptops may be checked out for longer periods with permission of the advisor and course/study abroad coordinator.
- These policies are subject to the discretion of PoE's Advising Staff and the Program Director
- To check out a laptop, just ask at the front desk of PoE! If there are no laptops available, we will add you to the wait list.
- Laptops have installed a basic software suite of Adobe and Microsoft products comparable to the 'Cedar' Macs
- Laptops are also available from the Student Tech Fee Equipment Loan office in Kane Hall
