Giving to the Program on the Environment

Thank you for considering a gift to the Program on the Environment.  Only a small fraction of students are lucky enough to get tuition scholarships, and nearly 60% of our students must work at outside jobs in order to attend the University of Washington.

Your support of the PoE Endowed Scholarship will provide vital opportunities for students to pursue interdisciplinary, real world problem solving projects.

Your support of the PoE Program on the Environment Fund allows students to enrich their academic experiences by presenting at professional conferences, or pursuing unpaid internships.

Because of your generosity, students such as Emily Halvorsen completed an internship in rural India, working with the Central Himalayan Rural Action Group (CHIRAG) to assess the groundwater situation in the Kumaon region through spring mapping.

If you would like to make a gift to support students like Emily, please visit the UW Foundation site or contact us at (206) 221-0562.
