Geography of infectious and chronic diseases at local, national, and international scales; environmental, cultural, and social explanations of those variations. Special emphasis on the social, cultural, epidemiologic and geographic issues surrounding HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, waterborne diseases, and urban slum health.
