Exciting job opportunity for premedical students!

Are you a premedical student looking for opportunities to gain firsthand clinical experience? Would you like to work one-on-one with emergency physicians in a clinical setting? If so, you may want to consider becoming an emergency room scribe!

Scribes work one-on-one with emergency physicians to provide accurate and complete electronic medical record documentation, in an effort to increase the physicians’ efficiency and maximize their productivity. They have the opportunity to observe hundreds to thousands of direct patient encounters per year, and receive intensive training on medical terminology, pathophysiology, and medical documentation.

We are currently hiring a team of scribes to work at Highline Medical Center in Burien, WA. Interested applicants are encouraged to go to www.scribeamerica.com and fill out an application. Be sure to specify Burien as your desired location. You are also welcome to email me directly at beatricel@scribeamerica.com to let me know that you have applied.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time candidates, so this is a wonderful opportunity for a current premed student looking for a part-time job, or a recent graduate who would prefer a full-time position.

Requirements: 18 years of age or older. Must be at least a sophomore in college. Able to commit to working at least 20 hours per week (minimum of eight shifts per month). Willingness to work nights, some holidays, and some weekends as needed. Reliable transportation to and from Burien, WA. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, an interest in medicine, and a commitment to excellence. Familiarity with physiology and/or medical terminology is a plus, but is not required (we provide extensive training in this area!).

Feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
