MOMENTUM: 2013 GlobeMed Benefit Dinner View this email in your browser GlobeMed at the University of Washington is excited to present Momentum, our 2013 benefit dinner. This night is dedicated to supporting the work of our partner, the Women Development Association in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. GlobeMed aims to strengthen the growing movement of students who are passionate about global health and is building a generation of young adults equipped to make a positive difference throughout the world. Momentum will explore what it means to be a student seeking to participate in the issues of global health, learn about local organizations and larger international partnerships, and hear from professionals with direct experience from the field. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide 22 Peer Educators with the proper training and education materials to disseminate health information regarding water sanitation in the Prey Veng province. All proceeds will support this goal through the Women Development Association’s Health Education and Sanitation program in Cambodia, a leading example of strong and sustainable development work.
