Monday (4/22)- General Health The Big Tent Event // HUB patio 10:30-2:30 To kick-off the week we explore a variety of aspects to general health with a variety of tables focusing on sexual health, alcohol awareness, drug safety and mental health. In addition we are partnered with Project Canine to offer you some dog therapy. Tuesday (4/23)- Mental Health Sleep // HUB 340 @ 12:30-1:30 This “brown bag lunch” (please feel free to bring food for this event!) will focus on looking more in depth into sleep such as; “what benefits can I gain?” or “how can I maximize my sleep?”. Come join us and the Check Your Boobies as we bring you a story from a Breast Cancer survivor and how to screen yourself. Bone Marrow Registration Drive// HUB Patio @ 11:30-3:30 Q: Why is there a need for people to join the Be The Match Registry? A: Thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, sickle cell and other life-threatening diseases depend on the Be The Match Registry® to find a match to save their life. Patients need donors who are a genetic match. Even with a registry of millions, many patients cannot find a match. Donors with diverse racial or ethnic backgrounds are especially needed. Friday (4/26)- Social Health Locally Working Globally // HUB 334 @ 2:30-3:30 Join us as we discuss local efforts to support global issues. In partnership with the City of Seattle and the Seattle International Foundation we are happy to present you with speakers from organizations working in Seattle to improve global health AND present you all with the new Seattle Ambassador Program that could win you an all-expense paid trip to see how our efforts manifest in Africa, South America or Asia. We hope you are all just as excited as we are!
