AED Quarterly Update

Hey Premeds – Here’re your AED Updates for this quarter: 1. No general meetings! This quarter we have a lot of big events going on, so we won’t have general meetings – but we encourage you to come to all of our events. 2. AED’s 3rd Annual Bioethics Debate – May 18th (early afternoon – exact time and date TBD). Grab a team of four friends and discuss bioethics. CASH prizes, great experience – you can’t go wrong! More information will be coming soon – so keep monitoring your email! 3. Check Your Boobies – May 18th (evening – ~4pm-Midnight). Volunteer with Check Your Boobies Annual Fundraising Auction. There will be dinner provided, and lots of great speakers, plus you’ll get to meet some awesome doctors in the field of breast cancer. Email AED VP Val Young to sign up: 4. Health Grad Fair: May 15th in Mary Gates – AED will be bringing in many different types of health graduate schools so you can come in and talk to them. The event will last all day – and we encourage everyone to attend, however, if you want to be a SUPERSTAR and volunteer with AED putting on the event we’ve still got a few shifts we need to fill. Contact AED President Megan Yuasa: to sign up. 5. Relay for life: Want to join your fellow AED members raising money and walking for Cancer Research? Here’s your chance! Join the AED Relay for Life Team: &pg=team&fr_id=48463&fl=en_US&et=NzmVAWkXa37pzHsVJiOZGA&s_tafId=1012473 Help us raise some money, even if you can’t go! 6. Social Events: Join us on the AED Facebook for lots of fun AED social shenanigans. We’ve got something for everyone from seriously awesome microbiology lectures to crazy fun at the zoo. 7. Induction: New member this year? Keep Tues May 28th on your Calendar. There will be cake. More details to come soon! 8. AED officer applications are still going on! Being an officer with AED is a great way to get some leadership experience on campus, so why not apply? That’s all for now – have a great week everyone!
