This Week’s Events

Greetings Premeds, Remember that this Tuesday, October 22nd, instead of a general meeting, we will be having our Second AED Study Session in Smith 405. We will have the room from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and the officer’s will be there for homework help from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM! Don’t forget that this is a good way to get membership points as well as find study buddies! We are also having our Pumpkin Carving Social this Thursday, October 24 in Smith 305. Carving tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well! Please RSVP by 8:00 PM on Monday, October 21 (https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/eschrick/214926) so we know how many pumpkins to get. Don’t forget that participation in a social event is needed to be considered an active member for our shadowing program! Don’t forget that Pumpking Push 5K is this Saturday, October 26 at Seward Park. Volunteer positions are full, but if you want a chance to participate in the run, Val is leading the AED team. Sign up online at (http://www.neighborcare.org/events/pumpkin-push). Click on register with a team and our team name is: Team AED. Once registered, email Val (vjy213@uw.edu) to let her know you are running and she will send further details! For runners, this will count as a social event! Lastly, if you are interested in rural medicine and want to be a part of Health Care Alternative Spring Break, applications to be a Team Leader or Committee Member are due at 11:59 PM on Sunday, October 27th. You can find the application at (http://hcasb.org/) I hope everyone has a great week. Good luck with midterms and we all hope to see you at our many events! – Jack Mo Webmaster, AED 2013-2014 Unsubscribe: https://mailman2.u.washington.edu/mailman/listinfo/premeds
