Global Medical Brigade Applications Due Today 11/15 @ 11:45 PM! Global Medical Brigades is a student-run organization of dedicated UW students that travel with healthcare professionals to Central America each summer. There, we create temporary clinics that provide free medical aid and health education in rural, underserved communities. The past three summers, the UW brigade has travelled to small Panamanian communities in the eastern-most province of Durian. In the last weeks of summer 2014 we will travel to Central America (Panama / Nicaragua) or to Africa (Ghana), to continue our work supporting communities in need. This is a truly amazing experience and I encourage you to apply; especially if you are interested in public or global health, a career in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, Spanish, or international studies. By participating in this brigade you will learn about philanthropy, community and will have a unique opportunity to shadow medical and dental professionals (Doctors/Dentists/Nurses/Pharmacists/Etc).
