Volunteer Opportunities at Camp Korey – Summer 2014

Camp Korey, just 45 minutes outside Seattle, is a non-profit camp dedicated to serving children with serious and life-altering medical conditions. We are looking for some amazing volunteers for this coming summer of 2014! Residential Volunteers spend a week at Camp Korey as a cabin counselor. You’ll have the opportunity to help a camper catch her first fish, get messy in our camp-wide food fight or give a camper the encouragement he needs to tackle the high ropes course. Applications for the summer are currently active on our website: http://campkorey.org/volunteer/camper-program. Have questions? Feel free to email Rebecca McIntyre, our Camp Volunteer Coordinator at rmcintyre@campkorey.org. My name is Rebecca McIntyre and I am a UW alumni and the Camp Volunteer Coordinator at Camp Korey. I am emailing you with regards to our program because we are looking for some fantastic volunteers for this coming summer of 2014! Camp Korey is a non-profit just outside Seattle, which serves children with serious and life-altering medical conditions and their families at no cost. We offer year-round camp programs with full support for the medical needs of campers, plus all the fun of just being a kid. Volunteering with Camper Programs means direct participation with our campers during week-long summer sessions, year-round programs, special camper events, and more. Summer Residential Volunteers spend a week at Camp Korey as a cabin counselor. Our volunteers have the opportunity to help a camper catch her first fish, get messy in our giant food fight or encourage them to conquer their fears and tackle the high ropes course! If this is something you think people in your organization would like to hear more about, please let me know. I’d love to send you a blurb to put out in a newsletter or email. Or, better yet – I can come give a short presentation to your group about summers at Camp Korey and the opportunities available. I have also attached our Summer Recruitment flier which shows some of the fun our camp counselors have. Let me know if this is something you might be interested in! Thank you for your time!
