Healthcare Alternative Spring Break (HCASB)

Are you a pre-health student looking for some meaningful way to spend your spring break? Are you curious about issues of rural healthcare or looking to gain some shadowing experience? Healthcare Alternative Spring Break (HCASB) is a student-led organization at the UW that offers shadowing opportunities in rural areas throughout Washington state, in pre-health fields such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, optometry, public health, and physical therapy. Through our one-week immersion program, we seek to expose the next generation of healthcare professionals to the hardships and rewards of rural medicine. If you are interested in learning more, join us for our Participant Info Sessions on: Wednesday 12/4 in Savery 138 from 5-6PM or Thursday 12/5 in Savery 131 from 5-6PM. For more information on HCASB, visit our website at www.hcasb.org, or email us at hcasb@uw.edu. The 2014 Participant Application will open on Sunday, December 8th, 2013 at 11:59PM.
