Who is CFHI? Child Family Health International www.cfhi.org is the leading nonprofit providing educational Global Health Programs that allow participants to build skills and insight working alongside local physicians and public health experts in developing countries. CFHI has been around for almost 20 years providing health-related service-learning programs. As a nonprofit, CFHI structures its programs so funds and resources are funneled back into local communities, resulting in a sustainable and socially responsible program model. CFHI is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the ECOSOC of the United Nations.
Ten scholarships will be awarded toward any CFHI Program running during the months of August through December 2011. Scholarships are some of CFHI’s biggest yet, US$1,000 each. There will be two special designated scholarships going towards participation in CFHI’s Ophthalmology Program- Sight for All in New Delhi, India, and CFHI’s Dental Program- Sonrie Ecuador in Quito, Ecuador. CFHI encourages applying early to any program as all applications are processed on a rolling basis and programs are filling for 2011: http://www.cfhi.org/web/index.php/program/viewall. Applications are still being accepted for June programs and beyond.
