Former Husky turned Med Student Q&A

Hi AMSA/Pre-Med students! A great opportunity has come up for our members. The event is not a regularly scheduled meeting because your officers personally sought out this resource for you, on short notice. Eric Secrist, a former student at the UW has come back specifically to give the pre-med community some insights into applying to and landing an interview for East Coast schools. He is currently an MS1 at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Pennsylvania. The difficulty is that the medical school density is much higher out East than it is here in the PNW, so it’s a lot more competitive coming from our region as applicants. He’ll be giving a brief talk to share things that he would’ve killed to know as an pre-med and an applicant. Details: Friday March 14th, 2014 4-5pm Mary Gates Hall Room 258 FB event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/497248227047204/ Hope to see you there! — Julie Do Dept. of Biochemistry ’14 Vice President of Ethics & Activities UW | American Medical Student Association (425) 458-8517 juliedo26@gmail.com
