Scientific Diving Course at Friday Harbor Labs – Application Deadline April 15

April 15 is the last day to register for this summer’s Scientific Diving Course at Friday Harbor Labs! This course is open to undergrads, post-baccalaureates and grad students at UW and other institutions. Dates: August 11-23 Location: Friday Harbor Laboratories Prerequisites: Open-water dive certified, logged at least 20 dives, medical clearance, & own your own dive gear Credits: This is not a credit bearing course. Certifications: This course includes all of the components to achieve scientific diving status with the American Academy of Underwater Scientists (www.aaus.org) and the University of Washington (www.uw.edu). 1st Aid/CPR & Oxygen for SCUBA emergencies, SCUBA rescue, Enriched Air NITROX certifications are also included.
