Operation Smile Officer Applications are Open – Apply Now! Are you looking to get involved with a global health issue? Did you know that every 3 minutes a baby is born with a cleft lip and/or palate? Apply to be an officer and you can help Operation Smile make a difference. The Operation Smile University of Washington Chapter organizes quarterly fundraisers to provide free corrective surgeries for children with cleft lip and/or palate in developing countries. With one simple surgery, a child can be spared a lifetime of sociocultural obstacles and difficulty with everyday tasks such as eating, drinking, and speaking. We are seeking committed, motivated, and hard-working individuals to help change lives one smile at a time. A major in the health field is NOT required.
